There is an optional pay-your-own-way social lunch after the workshop. We’ll eat at a local restaurant in the Fatherland District of East Nashville, right where the workshop is held.
$99 Ticket Includes:
- 3 hours of teaching in a small workshop environment including exercises, peer sharing and discussions, and personalized feedback.
- 1 moleskine sketchbook
- A set of 3 pens (My favorite writing and drawing tools!)
- Snacks and drinks

I can’t draw. Is this workshop for me?
YES! If you can write and listen, you can learn how to take sketchnotes. No drawing experience is required to take Sketchnote Academy: Basic Training. You’ll walk away from this workshop equipped with the basics of drawing and tools to keep practicing on your own.
I don’t want to be a professional Sketchnoter. Is this workshop good for people who just want to do it as a hobby?
YES! Whether you want to take sketchnotes for fun or if you want to get hired to do them professionally, Sketchnote Academy: Basic Training is a great way to get introduced to the basic concepts, techniques, and tools.
Do I have to be a certain age to attend?
Yes. All participants must be at least 16 years old. Parents don’t need to be present, unless they want to register and attend too! Sketchnote Academy: Basic Training is a 3-hour, highly-interactive, deep-dive workshop, so come ready to focus, participate, and share with everyone in the class!
